About Our Classes:


Private Class

private classes are available on request.  please call(1352 416 2501) or email (eightlimbedyoga@gmail.com) to book a time.


Beginner Classes

  1. -Our beginner classes are listed as such on the schedule (for instance “Ashtanga Beginner”, “Flow Beginner”). 

  2. -Come if you’ve never practiced before or are just looking to brush up on your fundamentals.


Ashtanga

  1. This traditional style of yoga works through a specific sequence in which you develop strength, flexibility, and breath control.


Full Primary

  1. -Ashtanga Yoga features several set sequences of postures.  In “Ashtanga: Full Primary” class we lead you through the full primary series in 90 minutes.  Expect a slightly faster pace and more challenging class than the regular “ashtanga” class, and less time explaining modifications. 

  2. -Come if you’ve practiced some ashtanga and have some familiarity with the postures, but there’s no need to be an expert.


Mysore

  1. Come  to mysore class any time up to one hour before class ends, and leave when you finish practice.

  2. Familiar with ashtanga yoga before attending: take a minimum of five ashtanga classes first.


flow

  1. Flow yoga first developed as an offshoot from ashtanga, but as a way to make the practice more fun and accessible for those new to yoga.

  2. A fun, flowing style of yoga.


Hatha

  1. Hatha yoga refers to all physical styles of yoga, but at Red Door, our hatha classes are a chance to work on some of the poses you won’t see in flow classes, and take a little more time learning how to do them right.  Relaxing, fun, and invigorating.


Hatha (Advanced)

  1. Practicing for 6 months before attending.

  2. A slower pace than flow classes, with longer holds and time to work on things we don’t usually work on.  This is perhaps our most advanced class, expect challenging postures and a good workout.

Class Rules:


Clean and Healthy

When you are ill, please take a rest: we all share the air in the yoga room and for the sake of everyone else in the room, let’s not pass colds around.  Take the chance to rest well and come back stronger!


Please also keep yourself and your yoga clothes/mat/towel/etc clean.


Book the class before you come.

Book classes up to one day ahead of time.

Can’t make it? Cancel your booking 2 hours before the class starts.


To book, just text 1352 416 2501.  If there’s no room, we’ll get back to you right away.  If we don’t reply it means your space has been reserved.


Don’t be late. 

You should be in the room, ready to practice, five minutes before we begin.

Of course, this doesn’t apply to mysore classes, for which you can arrive any time up to one hour before the class ends.
